Anda Mandala making will take place near the RE:Growth structure on Auditorium Shores. Make mandalas with gears, clocks, or bamboo circles.
Re:Growth is a site specific bamboo installation creating a unique sculpture using bamboo splits and poles. The piece will also be dramatically lit with projections and led lights, creating a festive intimate space.

thanks to all the participants

What a great response to Anda Mandala from the public at the Maker Faire. Tons of kids and grown-ups experienced the magic of animating objects using a blend of old and new technology. The best part was watching people's face light up after they made a thing. I can't wait until this weekend when I'll have some time begin editing the animations so that I can post the video online and send a notice out to all the folks who participated. I'll be at the Make Out Session this Monday, October 26 at 7 pm at Spiderhouse hanging out and editing. Maybe you'll come out and see me...

Maker Faire Here We Go
I'm looking forward to setting up my stop motion equipment for making mandalas at Maker Faire this weekend. I have a booth just outside the ring of fire where some friends will be shooting fire out of metal sculptures and blowing crazy bubbles. I'll be projecting the animated mandalas that have been made and making new ones. As people come along, I hope to engage them in the process. Children and adults alike can participate in making stop motion mandalas.
